How do you record on a dvd on a dvd recorder?

Is it different from a tape do you have to fast foward to the end of the dvd. If its a dvd-r can you record, watch it and record more if theres more space on the disk?

dvd rw has rerecord and add record
but will not work in many other players
dvd r is one recording only,but plays in many other players

What dvd drive should i get for my ORIGINAL xbox with error 12?

I have an original xbox with error 12 and im planning on replacing the dvd drive, but i need to know what kind i should get . I really wanna play halo again.

It doesn’t really matter, they aren’t firmware locked like the Xbox 360 one.

The Samsung one seems to be most compatible with DVD/CD media – see link below.

How to burn a dvd with a downloaded file?

I got a DVD-RW drive on my comp but have never used it. Could someone please explain how I go about burning a downloaded file onto a dvd? And do I need to buy/download any software? Please give as detailed and informational answers as possible.

download/buy a software. i recommend Nero. click which kind of cd you wanna make and there should be a blank list or whatever then drag the file on to the list.

How to Fix Corrupted Files

•One of the options to recover corrupted files is from the backup files. Most of the programs are programmed to create backups automatically. For example, if your Microsoft Word file is corrupted, then you will simply have to rename the backup file as ‘.doc’ and then open the file. You will be able to recover all the data.
•If you use Windows operating system, then you can make of the Windows Disk Utility to recover the corrupted file. Go to ‘My Computer’ and right click on the drive, where the file is located. From the drop down menu that appears, click on ‘Properties’ and then on ‘Tools’. Now click on the ‘Back Up Now’. You can either opt to just backup the files or restore the files and then click on ‘Ok’. The system will restore the corrupted file.
•If these steps do not work and you still want to know how to fix corrupted files, here is the answer. There are a number of software, which you download from the Internet to repair corrupted files. For example, you can make use of ‘RepairMyWord’ software to repair a corrupted Microsoft Word file. Use the instructions given in the software to repair the corrupted files.
•To repair a file, to recover data, etc., you can use download OfficeRecovery software. This software comes with file repair utilities, email, database, servers, office documents, photo recovery software, etc. However, when you are going to use this software, make sure you do not have any other programs running in the background. This can hamper the working of the software and the file may not be recovered. read more »

I have some pretty large movie torrent files that are about 2GB in size, what type of DVD should i burn these onto that can be played on a regular DVD player?
